A little bit.
Little things. Baby steps.
That's right, Bill Murray. Baby steps. Tiny goals leading to the eventual big picture.
The slowdown was (in part) caused by our caterer. Now, we don't have the full details for them ignoring us for the last two months, but we need information from the caterer before we can move forward with Ultimate Events (the folks that will supply cocktail tables, normal tables, and chairs). We weren't too pushy with this two months back because then we still had seven months. Now it's five months -- baby steps to the wedding, baby steps! Our goal, as mentioned in a previous blog, is to get everything done by the end of June. It's entirely doable. Nothing is out of reach. Baby steps.
• Earlier in the week Jenn talked to Saumer from the God Damn Doo Whop Band about doing music. A couple months back when we said they'd be doing music, there was a slight mix-up in communication. So as it sits, there's a strong chance they'll be available. No solid confirmation yet.
• On Sunday Jenn and I built more flowers. Well, she built them, I cut out the materials. It's semi-tedious, and I have ADHD (seriously) (I almost don't believe it)
• We also discussed in more detail what the centerpieces will look like. I love them.
• Yesterday I worked on our invitations. They're coming along nicely.
• Today I did some more worked that involved cutting burlap, cans and glue. I glued my fingers together quite often.
Sunday afternoon we're meeting with Hannah to discuss cake. And eat cake? I'll be good at cake-testing.
That's about it for now. Hopefully we'll have some more things to post next week!
